Moat is a charitable housing association working across all areas of Essex and parts of Hertfordshire. It works in partnership with local authorities, government agencies and developers to provide homes for affordable rent and shared ownership. Moat is the government appointed HomeBuy Agent for Essex, Kent and Sussex.
Moat manages almost 15,000 homes for rent and shared ownership across the south-east of England. It is a not-for-profit organisation: financial surpluses are re-invested to provide additional homes and services for first time buyers and people in housing need.
